Face of Caring – Nursing Assistants Week – June 2021

In honor of Nursing Assistants Week between June 17 and 24, we want to introduce Home Health Aide Jenna Holst, who has worked for one year at River Bend Assisted Living and Memory Care in Rochester, Minnesota. River Bend residents named Jim and Shirley say Jenna does a great job taking care of them. “She takes her time and asks if there is anything more we need before she leaves.” Jim and Shirley like Jenna so much, they make popcorn for her so she has something to crunch as she drives home.

Jenna also took the time to learn to play cribbage with a resident who is hard of hearing so he could have someone who would play the game with him. Another resident named Barb mentioned that Jenna is dependable, honest, bright and cheery and always willing to help out. Jenna likes to read and crochet, and sometimes bonds with residents who like to crochet as well. She also enjoys card games with residents and says, “I love working with them and caring for them.” Thank you, Jenna, for all you do to bring happiness to others at River Bend.
