Health Unit Coordinator Heather Vickerman is the first person you’ll see when you come through the door at Cassia’s Haven Homes in Maple Plain. In addition to welcoming people to the community, Heather answers the phone and manages schedules, appointments, physicians’ orders and much more.
“Heather remembers the families and residents all by first name and is always smiling,” says Administrator Katie Novotny. “She encompasses the values of Cassia with her caring nature and sincere, empathetic services.”
Heather’s dog Bear, a certified therapy dog, comes to work every day along with her. Residents look forward to seeing them both, as Bear brightens not only residents’ days, but the days of families and staff. Heather has been at Haven Homes for 17 years, and says she likes to try and spread happiness whenever possible. “Every single person on staff is here for the same reason,” she adds. “We’re a team.”
