Have you ever wished you could speak directly with an expert who shares the most up-to-date information about health care available? Now you can. This spring, Augustana Care will host the Well Spoken learning series for residents, families, future residents, and professionals. The Well Spoken series will include presentations on Parkinson’s disease and new treatments, approaches and research for Alzheimer’s.
The learning series will be presented by a number of medical providers associated with HealthPartners Regions Hospital such as Research Director Leah Hanson of Health Partners, and Alzheimer’s Research Center Senior Director William Frey II. Presentations begin in April at the following locations:
- Healthy Brain Aging on Thursday, April 7 from 1 to 2:15 p.m. at The Rosemount in Rosemount, MN
- Understanding Parkinson’s Disease on Monday, April 18 from 1:00 to 2:15 p.m. at Augustana Regent in Burnsville
- Beyond the Basics of Alzheimer’s: New Treatments, Approaches and Research on Monday, May 2 from 1:30 to 2:45 p.m. at Augustana Apartments of Minneapolis
- Sleep Issues and Dementia on Wednesday, June 8 from 1:00 to 2:15 p.m. at Augustana Care’s Apple Valley Villa location
Like all muscles, the mind needs to exercise and grow, no matter how young or old we may be. Augustana Care wants to extend to you an invitation to exercise and expand your knowledge on these topics, which are essential to healthy aging. Our Well-Spoken series gives participants the opportunity to connect directly with experts who have a wealth of knowledge on the topics they cover. Experts will also take the time to respond to direct questions from the audience.
